The proof of the ‘third party’ has been proven on many occasions. We saw clear handwriting of the BNP and Jamaat—the Islamic radicals—in the destructions. We suspected many of the killings may have been done by the miscreants from within who infiltrated the student movement. Here is an eyewitness account by a friend of one of the deceased students. “They were not regular students, their approach was different. They had their faces covered with T-shirts and this seemed very suspicious to me. Their approach was also quite aggressive………. He was shot from the back and the bullet exited from his chest. There were at least 150 people between the police and us. It was very unusual for the bullet to cross everyone and hit my friend. The bullet that hit him was metal bullet, the police was using rubber bullet till then.”
